Anna and Johnny- Claire, Jenny, Laura, and Megan mentioned you were keeping this blog and I have spent my summer living vicariously through your travels. It reminds me of the travels Laura and I had right out of college and how we ran into Johnny throughout Europe. You two are doing such a great job documenting your adventures. Keep it up; as summer comes to an end and school begins I will look forward to your fun antidotes to keep me going! Safe travels!

Brent has been forwarding me your blog updates (which I always read!) and I just can’t believe how amazing your trip has been so far!! I’m really impressed that you both aren’t about 15 pounds heavier and that Johnny’s beard is still so shaggy. Every once and awhile, Brent and I will say, “I wonder what Johnny and Anna are doing right now…” We’re living vicariously through you!!! Much love, Jillian

Dear Abby,
Waiting for more news! Did you make it to a vineyard to work/farm/crush tiny purple things? Goose and I miss you a lot.
The Yankees clinched a postseason berth and AL East champs in a doubleheader yesterday so i’m excited to live another run toward the World Series. Although, I’d rather be on my way to Cape Town or Istanbul with you guys.
Still holding out hope that we can come visit again before you return your one-way “World Traveler Nomad Globetrotter Conquistador” pass and retreat to Newport.
So long, Bonnie and Clyde. You are MISSED!
Love,

Hi Johnny and Anna,
Your Fallbrook Aunt gave me your blog and I have so enjoyed reading it. My daughter and I are just completing a 3 week trip in Easern Europe, leaving in the morning from Zagreb to San Diego. I surely agree with your comments about Lake Bled (mmmm the fish place down by the water whose name we shortened to Peg Leg, and the cream cake…ah beter than Sacher Torte) and Ljubljana. Rick Steeves says the later is the next, next Prague, after Krakow, but I enjoyed Krakow and Ljubliana better than Prague. Thanks for having this blog, so other travelers can benefit from your findings.

Hey there to you both
The blog is great and I love seeing all the photos of Poplar Tree lodge, Hout Bay, Cape Town & the Cape. It sure looks beautiful, interesting, vibrant and inspirational (which it is). It’s been great having you stay – I really enjoyed meeting you both and wish you a WONDERFUL time on your travels. I’m sure the rest of South Africa with wildly overdeliver on your expectations – watch out for the elephants in Kruger (they make your heart beat extra fast when you see them up close for the first time).
Hope to meet you again some day.
Please send all your friends this way in the meantime. Table Mountain may just be voted one of the top 7 natural wonders of the world in a couple of weeks. Now that woudl be something wouldn’t it!Viv

Dear Jesus and Mary (sorry Anna I had to do that once)
I never knew South Africa had such beauty-sorry G’Ma and I didn’t travel there when my legs and back were younger.
We are living a new dream through you two.
Keep it coming-we love hearing from you!
Stay safe.
